Penn State's Olympic wrestling history runs deep.
Current coach Cael Sanderson is a gold medalist as is former alum and now assistant coach Jake Varner. The Nittany Lions have also sent 12 other athletes to other Olympic games, including former Penn State alum and current Maryland coach Kerry McCoy who is a three-time Olympian.
Now, Penn State appears poised to get another taste of Olympic wrestling in the coming months.
Pete Isais, the Director of National Events for USA Wrestling confirmed on Friday night that the Bryce Jordan Center is being looked at as a possible host venue for the 2020 Olympic Trials.
