For No. 5 Penn State, Friday night’s contest against Howard was just another day at the office.

Fresh off a difficult two-game stretch on the west coast, the Nittany Lions hit the road again to face off against Howard, a team that famously took a set off Penn State in the first round of last year’s NCAA Tournament.

However, despite another strong showing from the Bison, it was the Nittany Lions who were able to withstand the challenge from the underdog and prevail in straight sets (27-25, 25-13, 25-20).

With the victory, Penn State improves to 7-1 on the young season.
