The basketball is released from the fingertips of the opponent. It hits the rim and is deflected into the air. The players plunge for the rebound — for the opportunity to take possession and for the opportunity to score.
But the Penn State women’s tennis team (6-9, 2-3) has taken rebounding to its own courts.
It started in February when the Nittany Lions redeemed themselves with a win against Marshall two days after a loss to Big Ten rival Ohio State.

Since then, the team has rebounded in similar fashion in back-to-back competitions four separate times: the initial loss to Ohio State and win against Marshall, a loss against South Florida followed by a win against Florida Gulf Coast, and redemption against Wisconsin after being downed by Minnesota.
