Penn State women's tennis coach Chris Cagle resigns to pursue other professional opportunities

Penn State will have an opening at the top of its women's tennis coaching staff.

Chris Cagle will step down from his post as women's tennis head coach after five years to "pursue other professional opportunities in tennis," Penn State Athletics announced Monday.

Cagle's resignation goes into effect on May 31.

"We are very appreciative of the impact Chris Cagle has made on our student-athletes,” Sandy Barbour, Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics, said in statement. “Chris has led our women’s tennis program with integrity, high character and a positive attitude throughout his tenure at Penn State.
