Penn State continued to chug along in the NCAA tournament led by elevated play by senior Payton Linnehan and sophomore Kaitlyn MacBean.
Linnehan and MacBean scored one goal, each having one assist to their counterpart leading the Nittany Lions to a 2-0 win against Santa Clara.
Penn State continues to rely on the dynamic duo to help lead it throughout the tournament but also in a familiar matchup for some of the players on the team.
Last year, the blue and white went on a West Coast road trip to face the Broncos in a matchup in which Linnehan and MacBean played in, resulting in a 1-0 victory for the Nittany Lions.
