Penn State women’s soccer uses fast-start offense to power past Army, advance in NCAA Tournament

Penn State took emphasis on the offense early on in its attack-intensive match against Army. The blue and white’s goal for the game was to dictate the rhythm fast and solidify the outcome in the first half.

The Nittany Lions were assertive with every attacking sequence they built. Penn State was able to overwhelm the Black Knights in the beginning and continued the pressure until the final whistle blew, taking the game away 3-0 and sending them to the next round of the NCAA Tournament.

Amelia White came out hot in the first few minutes with numerous opportunities on goal, pressuring Army’s back line.
