Penn State women's soccer prepares for NCAA tournament as a No. 1 seed

The Nittany Lions waited with baited breath, wondering if they would receive the fourth No. 1 seed in Penn State history. As different teams were called, the Lions confidently expected to hear their name. Once Penn State was called as a No. 1 seed the room erupted, knowing that one of the roads to the Women’s College Cup would run through Jeffrey Field.

Before looking ahead, Penn State takes on No. 16 seed Albany on Nov. 13. It will mark the first meeting between the Lions and the Great Danes.

The Lions’ bracket includes fellow Big Ten foes Ohio State and Minnesota.
