Penn State left the pitch with a 1-0 loss against Washington on Thursday night following the Pink Match for breast cancer awareness.
The Nittany Lions entered the contest coming off a win against Rutgers. But with Thursday’s game being yet another conference matchup, they had work to do.
From the first whistle, the blue and white came out big with strong passing through the midfield and heavy possession of the ball. Any possession from the Huskies was taken care of by the strong Penn State defense, which has been solid all season.
The first big offensive opportunity for the blue and white came in the 6th minute.
