Penn State defenseman Lyndie Lobdell becomes the second Nittany Lion drafted to the PWHL in 2025.
Lobdell was selected in the fifth round by Seattle, joining forward Brianna Brooks in the league.
Brooks and Lobdell will be just 2 hours and 27 minutes away from each other, both playing for expansion teams.
The Aurora, Illinois, native made Penn State history, becoming the all-time leader in points by a defenseman with 84, while also playing in the most career games by a Penn State player with 168 played.
Lobdell was the AHA Defensive Player of the Month in October while also receiving four AHA Defensive Player of the Week honors throughout the season.
