As the clock wound down in Penn State’s 75-7 loss to Rutgers to end the 2024-25 season, many wondered if it was coach Carolyn Kieger’s last game with the program.
Kieger’s squad finished the season 10-19, and in the weeks to follow, lost seven athletes to the transfer portal.
While expectations were unknown going into this season, the Lady Lions have exceeded whatever those were with a 4-0 start and two strong wins against Cincinnati and St. Joseph’s.
“I think we’re just taking this year one game at a time and one practice at a time,” Kieger said.
