Penn State women’s basketball looks to stay hot against Coppin State, Saint Joseph’s

After a 2-0 start to the year, the Lady Lions will look to double their win total in the second week of the season, with matchups against Coppin State and Saint Joseph’s.

Sophomore guard Kiyomi McMiller has been the early star for the Lady Lions, averaging 23.5 points, 6.5 assists and 4.5 steals per game to lead the team in each category. Junior center Gracie Merkle has brought a strong presence in the paint, scoring 19.0 points per game on a 78.3% clip.

In its last time on the court, Penn State survived a thriller against Cincinnati that was decided in the final minutes.
