Everything, and we mean everything is changing for Penn State football after James Franklin was fired. Originally, Terry Smith was named the interim coach and just about everyone assumed that Smith would just close out the year and AD Pat Kraft would go after a big-name candidate.
Things aren't that easy anymore, as Curt Cignetti, Matt Rhule and others have signed extensions. Instead, life in Happy Valley is a bit complicated, as Smith now has this team 5-6 on the year and he's even more beloved than he originally was. The players are calling for Smith to be hired.
