Penn State volleyball lost its setter not just for this season but forever.
Starck was named the Big Ten and AVCA Freshman of the Year, setting the Nittany Lions to a national championship.
Starck missed the majority of this season due to mental health reasons. She didn’t make it known that she would be leaving the program, though, in her announcement.
Penn State now needs to find a new setter with Addie Lyon out of eligibility. Nittany Lion signee Danielle Whitmire will be the lone setter on the team to start the calendar year.
