Penn State post-spring: What did we learn about James Franklin's defense?

James Franklin said at the conclusion of spring that veteran safety Malik Golden might be Penn State's most improved player. That's a good thing, too, with the Lions hurting at that position coming out of spring. Troy Apke, Ayron Monroe, John Petrishen and Jarvis Miller couldn't go in the Blue-White game. So right now it's Marcus Allen and Golden at the safety spots ... but who plays behind them?
