Mike Rhoades stood underneath the basket with a stern look on his face during practice, yelling at his players while they went through drills.
Rhoades is entering Year 3 at Penn State with the youngest squad in the Big Ten. He spoke on his team during the Nittany Lions’ media day Wednesday, giving insight into various aspects.

Young roster
It’s no secret Penn State is a young team — eight of the 13 players on the roster are listed as a freshman. However, Rhoades highlighted how programs usually try to get older but the Nittany Lions went the opposite way.
