Penn State concluded its first-half nonconference schedule over the weekend with a series sweep against Stonehill. The Nittany Lions have plenty to be happy about after they extended their record to 7-1 and boosted their national ranking to No. 4 in the USCHO poll, their highest since 2017.
But now, the gauntlet begins. Penn State enters Big Ten play starting on Thursday in Columbus against No. 17 Ohio State. The Nittany Lions began 0-8 in conference play last season, a start they want to avoid in 2025.
