Penn State was looking to get a significant upgrade at wide receiver this season with George Campbell. The former five-star recruit didn’t quite hit his stride down south with the Florida State Seminoles, so he was looking to finish out his collegiate career up North. Back in February, it was reported that George Campbell was set to join the Nittany Lions at Penn State, but it seems as though a last-minute change of heart occurred. Now, Campbell will transfer elsewhere.
According to The Tampa Bay Times’ Bob Putnam, Campbell has decided to re-route his transfer to West Virginia, rather than Penn State.
