Ryan Keenan was a bright spot for Penn State during its season-opening loss to Villanova on Saturday.
Kennan had a career-high five goals and added on two assists for a seven-point day. The attacking middie gave the Nittany Lions an attacking spark during the 17-16 loss to the Wildcats, and his efforts kept them in front for much of the day while the defense was struggling.
For his efforts, Kennan was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division I Team of the Week.
For as long as star attackman Grant Ament is sidelined with a foot injury, players like Keenan are going to have to be productive for the Nittany Lions.
