Grant Ament’s effort throughout the NCAA Tournament was rewarded with a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
In Penn State’s three games, Ament put up a combined seven goals and 18 assists. His assist total set a new NCAA Tournament record, and his 25 points tied the highest mark in tournament history.
The Nittany Lions made it further than any team in program history had before. They won their first NCAA Tournament game in the first round and followed it up with a win over Loyola to earn their first Final Four berth.
Penn State fell one game shy of the championship after losing 21-17 to Yale, but Ament still managed to break the two individual records.
