Penn State men’s hockey's new captains lead way to new season

A new season means a new roster, and more specifically, a new leadership group. There are two new faces at the helm of Hockey Valley this year, with expectations as high as ever.

Junior forward Dane Dowiak was named the blue and white’s 12th captain in program history, holding a physical, pesky, offensive presence.

Senior defenseman Jarod Crespo will wear the ‘A’, a staple of Penn State’s blueline.

“Both come to compete and work their butts off all the time,” sophomore forward Charlie Cerrato said. “They’re just two selfless guys that would do anything for the team, so everyone kind of knew it was going to be those two.
