Penn State holds its fifth-place ranking in the newest USCHO poll after splitting its most recent series with No. 2 Michigan, which also maintained its previous ranking.
The Nittany Lions were outmatched Friday night, dropping a 7-1 contest and getting outshot 37-27.
The blue and white bounced back Saturday night and took a 4-2 win over the Wolverines to round out the weekend.
Penn State heads to 3M Arena at Mariucci this weekend to continue its Big Ten contests and face unranked Minnesota.
