Saturday night was alright for fighting at Pegula Ice Arena as Penn State and Long Island got a little too much action in during a physical game that would’ve made Sir Elton John himself look away.
By the end of the 60-minute contest, 97 penalty minutes had been assigned to the two teams.
“It was starting to cross a line in terms of chippiness and nothing was being handled.” Penn State coach Guy Gadowsky said. “So that line gets pushed farther and farther away.”
After Friday night's affair, Gadowsky acknowledged that he should have acknowledged Long Island’s forecheck over its physicality entering the series.
