Following Saturday’s game at Madison Square Garden, Michigan coach Red Berenson gave Penn State credit for its play during the two-game series.
“They may have gotten swept this weekend but they’re a good hockey team,” Berenson said. “They’ll be just as tough when they come to Yost [March 11-12].”
Leading up to the “Big Ten Super Saturday”, Guy Gadowsky said he was always a big fan of Berenson.
After all, Berenson already had two national championships with the Wolverines when Gadowsky first got into college hockey with the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.
But it wasn’t just Berenson’s on-ice success that gained Gadowsky’s respect.
