Coach Guy Gadowsky made one thing very clear in his Monday afternoon press conference — Derian Hamilton’s “excellent weekend against Michigan” proves that he deserves to get a lot more ice time.
“He might be as gifted and as natural of a skater that we have,” Gadowsky said.
While Hamilton has only seen the ice five times so far this season with three assists and eight shots on goal, Gadowsky feels that he has improved significantly from last season.
“At practice, he didn’t used to have the consistent intensity in his battles that the other guys did,” Gadowsky said.
