Penn State coach Guy Gadowsky overheard one of his players say the Nittany Lions have become the hunted prior to their home-opening loss to Clarkson on Thursday. Meaning, opposing teams will give their A-game when they clash with Penn State.
It was expected heading into a season where the program went all in. The Nittany Lions spent a plethora of money adding stars, such as forward Gavin McKenna and defenseman Jackson Smith, and with the national spotlight on the team, the opposition wants to prove they can compete with the best of the best. Penn State is certainly that, as one of the favorites to win the national title.
