Penn State men’s basketball’s Tony Carr named to First Team All Big Ten

Despite the loss in the season finale at Nebraska on Sunday night, Tony Carr has had a pretty good last 24 hours.

Carr scored 27 points in the game, but his 15th of the night gave him 1,000 for his career, becoming the first Penn State sophomore to reach that mark. His point total in the game also increased his average to 20.1 in conference play, giving him the Big Ten scoring title.

Now, the sophomore point guard can add “First Team All Big Ten” to his resume.

The Philadelphia native was voted by the Big Ten coaches as one of the conference’s five best players, and he sure played like it this season.
