UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Quarterback Christian Hackenberg has a deeper receiving corps than any he had before.
No two skill sets are the same when looking at Penn State’s receivers, either. It’s a group position coach Josh Gattis said is also among the deepest he has been around. Gattis said the Nittany Lions plan to use eight receivers this season and, with many former highly touted high school prospects in the group, the offense should create looks it lacked at times in previous seasons.
“From top to bottom, this group has a skill set that not many wide-receiving corps can match,” Gattis said Wednesday.
