No. 7 Penn State lost to unranked UCLA on Saturday afternoon. The initial second-ranked team in the preseason slowly crumbled and Week 6 was just the cherry on top of a so far disappointing season. However, the Nittany Lions (3-2, 0-2 Big Ten) aren't the only ones not meeting standards.
No. 9 Texas and Clemson were the No. 1 and No. 4 teams in the preseason rankings, respectively. The Longhorns lost to Ohio State in Week 1 and Florida in Week 6, currently holding a 3-2 record with wins against SJSU, UTEP, and San Houston. That lineup of wins are comparable with Penn State's.
