Tuesday was an emotional day for former Penn State football safety, John Petrishen. The senior safety decided to take to Twitter to announce that he was no longer going to play for the Nittany Lions moving forward. Instead, he was going to try out elsewhere as a graduate transfer.
We saw it coming as Petrishen wasn’t around for the Lions summer training camp. On Tuesday though, he made it officially official as he tweeted out his statement regarding his past and the future. In his note, Petrishen thanked Penn State for his “once in a lifetime” opportunity.
