Penn State football: Trace McSorley to earn more reps with Ravens

Injuries in the offseason are highly unfortunate. Sometimes though, injuries to one player can benefit another who is fighting for a spot on the roster. A couple of months ago, the Baltimore Ravens selected a quarterback in the 2019 NFL Draft, which happened to be the second quarterback selection for them in two seasons.

Last year, they spent a high pick on Louisville’s Lamar Jackson, making him the final pick of the first round in 2018. This year, they waited a bit longer as they took Penn State football’s Trace McSorley in the sixth round. Jackson is guaranteed a starting role as the 2019 season approaches.
