A year ago no one in the college football world would’ve expected for Penn State football to enter the spring of 2019 without wide receiver Juwan Johnson. If anything, he looked like he was headed for the NFL. It didn’t turn out that way. Johnson transferred to Oregon after a disappointing 2018 season, leaving a crater in the receiving corp. Fortunately for the Nittany Lions, the roster has plenty of young, four and five-star talents, specifically sophomore Justin Shorter to fill that void.
Shorter showed up late in the 2018 season to make a quality impact.
