Penn State football defensive coordinator Brent Pry loves the multiple pass rusher scheme. Instead of focusing on one or two guys to attack the QB, he opts for a loaded defensive line that uses more depth. Shareef Miller became the de facto rusher this year with his reps. With that said, another offseason to grow and progress could cultivate more consistency.
Miller compiled 34 total tackles, four sacks, 10 tackles for loss and nine quarterback hurries. His numbers may not indicate his massive progression, but he did a lot for the Nittany Lions. First, he applied constant pressure on opposing QBs.
