The last offensive performance for Penn State football wasn’t pretty, but it got the job done in the end. A pair of blowout wins in the first two weeks, totaling a score of 124-20 had many expecting another blowout as usual against the in-state Pitt Panthers — that didn’t happen. Instead, the Nittany Lions struggled and mustered just 17 points in the win and a completion percentage of 46.7 for redshirt sophomore quarterback, Sean Clifford.
Although he didn’t play his best football, he didn’t do anything turnover-wise to cost the team a shot at the win.
