As Penn State head coach James Franklin was finalizing his 2017 recruiting class he added a player that had gone overlooked. Journey Brown of Meadville, PA wasn’t heavily recruited, but his numbers jump off the paper and his speed is undeniable.
Now an official member of the Nittany Lions, the running back is already showing that perhaps he should have received more attention during the recruiting cycle. Until the Penn State offer came in, his best choices were Temple and Syracuse.
Brown’s game is defined by his blazing speed.
He also runs track and recorded the fastest 60-meter time in Pennsylvania during an indoor meet this past January.
