National Signing Day is always full of surprises, and this year was no different. Penn State head coach James Franklin and his staff did a great job of solidifying a top class by using the early signing period in December. However, there were still some huge targets the Nittany Lions were waiting on last Wednesday.
Perhaps the biggest target was Nick Cross, from DeMatha Catholic in Hyattsvile, Maryland. He was torn on his decision and despite having a National Signing Day even scheduled, he elected to delay his announcement.
Nearly a week after Signing Day, Cross finally made his college choice known.
