Head coach James Franklin has continued to work his recruiting magic with the Nittany Lions. He started a tradition of the annual Lasch Bash, a weekend each July where commits and targets head to Happy Valley to hang out at a barbecue. The weekend has been very helpful over the years for Penn State football recruiting.
This year’s even produced a bit of a surprise commitment on Saturday when three-star wide receiver Emery Simmons gave his verbal commitment to the Nittany Lions.
Simmons was originally committed to Indiana when Penn State offered the wide receiver back in May.
