Penn State Football: QB Trace McSorley an AP Preseason All-American

National recognition for Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley has been flying in all offseason. The latest came Tuesday with the release of the AP Preseason All-America team. The head of the Nittany Lion offense was named to the second team.

The Big Ten conference was led by 10 total players on either the first or second All-America teams. Wisconsin was represented by five players.

McSorley was held off of the first team by West Virginia quarterback Will Grier, who, like McSorley, is an early candidate for the Hesiman Trophy.

Coming off of back-to-back 11-win seasons, McSorley will once again be at the helm of the Penn State offense.
