Penn State football appears to have a bright future thanks to the play this season of some standout young players. Redshirt freshman wide receiver KJ Hamler enjoyed a breakout season for the Nittany Lions both on offense and special teams. Monday, he was named to the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) Freshman All-America team as a kick returner.
Hamler used his speed and playmaking abilities to be the primary kick returner and punt returner for the Nittany Lions.
The talented freshman finished the season ranked No. 4 in the Big Ten and No. 31 in the FBS with 619 total return yards (punt and kick).
