Saturday’s game vs. Idaho marked the beginning of a new era for Penn State Football, as redshirt sophomore quarterback Sean Clifford made his first career start.
What a fitting way it was to begin the new era against an FCS team, Idaho, who Penn State was favored by over 40 points against. This gave Sean Clifford plus the rest of the young Penn State roster to get a chance to settle in, almost like an NFL preseason game.
The result? A 72-point victory, with the Nittany Lions’ offense putting up a total of 673 total yards, while only allowing Idaho to notch 145 yards with only seven points to show for.
