Penn State Football: Defensive back Lamont Wade is staying put

Major news for Penn State football dropped late Sunday night with defensive back Lamont Wade announcing that he’d return for his junior year. His return bolsters a depleted secondary that’s lost four total players to graduation or transfers.

Wade took his name out of the transfer portal after initially looking to leave the team. He played a ton of rotational snaps and participated in 24 out of 26 possible games in his first two years on campus and will compete for the free safety job starting in the spring.
