The stakes seemed high for this past Friday’s game between Penn State football and the Maryland Terps. Considering Maryland’s first two impressive wins, it seemed as though their matchup against Penn State would be a lot tougher than expected, despite their loss the previous week against the Temple Owls.
Apparently, the narrative that Penn State might not be able to handle the blackout in College Park was a bit overblown though. At first, the turnout was great for Maryland. Their idea of canceling late classes in order to sell out their stadium was quite a success.
