Penn State football had a very successful 2019 NFL Draft over all seven rounds, as six former Nittany Lions were selected by NFL teams. However, despite the success, there were several other players who had dreams of getting drafted, but never saw those dreams realized. Fortunately, many of them didn’t have to wait long to sign undrafted free agent contracts with NFL franchises.
Running back Miles Sanders was the first Nittany Lion taken off the draft board when he was selected in Round 2 by the Philadelphia Eagles. Offensive lineman Connor McGovern followed him when he was taken by the Dallas Cowboys in Round 3.
