One of the most underrated members of Penn State’s small, but productive, 2013 recruiting class was Curtis Cothran. The Newton, PA, native was a lightly recruited low three-star defensive end in high school. However, former Nittany Lion head coach Bill O’Brien and his staff were able to identify Cothran’s talent.
After beginning his Nittany Lion career as a defensive end, Curtis Cothran made the move inside for the 2016 season. After being suspended for the first two games of the season, Cothran took off like a rocket starting in week three against Temple. By the end of the season, he was a starting defensive tackle in Brent Pry’s defense.
