Redshirt junior running back Mark Allen is up next for VBR’s player previews for 2017. Allen enters the new season once again buried on the Penn State depth chart. Despite that, there’s still a role for him with the Nittany Lions.
When Allen first arrived at Penn State he was given a redshirt as a true freshman and played a part on the scout team.
As a redshirt freshman in 2015 Allen appeared in eight games with one start on both special teams and offense. His first collegiate reception was a touchdown during the win over San Diego State.
