On National Signing Day, James Franklin and the Penn State Nittany Lions signed a very talented recruiting class. The twenty-member class was highlighted by three top 100 players in Miles Sanders, Michal Menet, and Shane Simmons. In total, Penn State’s 2016 recruiting class had eight players that 247Sports composite rankings rated as a four or five star player.
One player who does not fit this bill though is Marshfield (MA) tight end Danny Dalton. Dalton is a composite 3-star prospect, but in my opinion, Dalton is the most underrated player in Penn State’s 2016 recruiting class.
