No. 17 Penn State field hockey had a rocky start to its 2025 campaign when they fell to the Virginia Cavaliers in their season opener on the road. After that however, the Nittany Lions bounced back in dramatic fashion by capturing back to back overtime wins at home against Delaware and St. Joseph’s respectively.
While the upperclassmen on the roster have shown incredible leadership, the poise and determination of the freshman class has been just as evident for the blue and white.
One of the standout freshmen so far this season has been forward/midfielder Joji Purdy from Virginia Beach, Virginia.
