After a tumultuous 2018 season, Penn State has parted ways with wide receivers coach David Corley.
Corley came in a year ago from Army. He was brought in initially to coach the running backs and was moved over after the hiring of Ja’Juan Seider from Florida.
The move, somewhat unsurprisingly, did not pay dividends for the Nittany Lions as wideouts young and old struggled, in part due to the departure of former wide receivers coach Josh Gattis.
The Penn State wideouts struggled all season with drops as Juwan Johnson and De’Andre Thompkins in particular took large steps back from their 2017 outputs.
