The Class of 2025 got a surprise addition, as Daniel Jennings has reclassified from the class of 2026 to join the team a year early.
Jennings is the top-rated recruit out of West Virginia, and 35th-rated edge rusher in his class. The four-star recruit had offers from Illinois, West Virginia and UNLV. Jennings will be following in the footsteps of redshirt freshman Max Granville, a four-star defensive end who reclassified to join the team a year early in 2025. Greenville was able to retain his redshirt season in 2025 while appearing in seven games, providing key depth in the College Football Playoffs while Abdul Carter played through a shoulder injury.
