A poor start to the conference portion of the schedule had Penn State basketball fans worried about how the rest of the season would turn out. However, head coach Patrick Chambers and his team figured things out when it counted and earned a bye in the first round of the Big Ten Basketball Tournament.
Penn State had some high expectations entering the season thanks to a win in last year’s NIT. However, after starting out 0-10 in the conference, the Nittany Lions found a way to turn their fortunes around.
With 10 games remaining in the season, it appeared that Penn State was destined to end the year at the very bottom of the Big Ten Standings.
