With just eight wins on the year and one win in the Big Ten Conference, Penn State basketball didn’t appear to stand much of a chance at home Tuesday night against the No. 6 Michigan Wolverines.
Fortunately for the Nittany Lions, nobody told them they were not supposed to compete with the Wolverines. Penn State came out hot from the start and never looked back, en route to a 75-69 victory.
After a bit of back-and-forth at the start of the first half, the Nittany Lions pulled away early in the half and took a shocking 40-27 lead into the break.
